The Junior UX Designer role, internally known as Associate UX Designer, at System C is an opportunity for someone at the beginning of their UX (User Experience) career to grow in a supportive, mission-driven environment. As an Associate UX Designer at System C, you will receive hands-on experience and mentorship from our UX team while developing skills across the full spectrum of UX practice. This will enable you to grow exponentially, equipping you to independently perform key tasks including:

  • Creating and maintaining design components, wireframes, and interactive prototypes using design tools.
  • Contributing to the development of design standards and component libraries.
  • Observing and supporting UX research, including analysing user feedback to inform design decisions.
  • Participating in stakeholder meetings, product demos, and UX Guild sessions.

We welcome applicants from all educational and professional disciplines - even without prior UX work experience, however we’ll need you to share a portfolio or examples of your creative work. What matters most is a passion for user-centred design, curiosity, and a commitment to learning. Applicants should tell us why they are interested in UX design, their career goals, and highlight any relevant skills or experience.

Our recruitment team will be reviewing applications and calling candidates whose profiles most closely match our requirements to go through a short screening call where we can understand your experiences and interests better. If we find a good match, we'll invite you to complete our online assessment. It's multiple choice and takes approximately 25 mins to complete. We will invite the most suitable candidates to an in person assessment day, where you’ll get to learn more about the business, the team and the role, and we’ll get to learn more about you too. We will then put all the information together and select the most suited candidate to join the team.

The assessment day will take place in our Leeds office on July 30th, although the normal working location will be our Liverpool office.
