Systech is seeking highly qualified and technically competent commercial professionals who possess a strong interest in developing client relationships. We have exciting opportunities available for two ambitious Associate Directors who can support our growth in this region. It will require hard work and strong performance levels, but these roles provide a clearly defined route to a leadership position within a leading construction consultancy. This suits someone who is passionate about delivering an exceptional service and who possesses a client-centric outlook.

The ideal candidate will have prior experience of leading commercial departments and teams on major construction projects. This is a consultancy role, and you must therefore also be able to demonstrate an ability to work effectively in a client-facing environment.

Responsibilities:

  • To lead teams on major construction projects
  • Developing relationships with new and existing clients
  • Establishing relationships with target clients
  • Driving a business development focused culture
  • Develop commercial strategies and lead on contractual negotiations
  • To ensure projects are delivered in accordance with the contract
  • Responsibility for management account preparation and liaison with senior management
  • Extensive knowledge of main standard forms of contract including NEC and JCT
  • To advise of dispute avoidance and resolution strategy
  • To develop an understanding of claims preparation and dispute avoidance
  • Assist more junior members of staff with their career development

Requirements:

  • BSc (Hons) in Quantity Surveying
  • A Member of The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (preferred)
  • Additional qualifications (LLM, FCIArb, FRICS) (preferred)
  • Experience working within infrastructure / civils
  • NEC contract knowledge
  • Strong oral and written communication and presentation skills
  • Presentable and articulate
  • Collaborative and able to work towards a common goal
