Systech is seeking to hire a highly qualified and technically proficient Commercial Director with a proven track record of developing client relationships and managing teams. This is a diverse role that requires leadership, interpersonal, technical, and business development skills.
You will need to work hard and achieve strong performance levels. In return you will have a clearly defined route to a Regional Director role within a leading construction consultancy. It suits someone who is passionate about delivering an exceptional service and who possess a client centric outlook.
The ideal candidate will have prior experience of leading commercial departments and teams on major construction projects. This is a consultancy environment, and you must therefore be able to demonstrate an ability to effectively interact with both internal and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
To prepare a business plan and strive towards achieving its objectives
To develop relationships with Systechs existing client base
To establish relationships with new target clients
To positively contribute to a business development focussed culture
To work collaboratively with the management team across Systechs international offices
To manage and build teams, fostering strong relationships with your reports
To lead assignments and provide a reliable and high-quality service
To advise of dispute avoidance and resolution strategy
To develop an understanding of claims preparation and dispute avoidance
To assist more junior members of staff with their career development
To be positive and proactive, overcoming obstacles and finding a way to win
Requirements BSc (Hons) in Quantity Surveying
A Member of The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (preferred)
Additional qualifications (LLM, FCIArb, FRICS) (preferred)
Experience working within infrastructure / civils
NEC contract knowledge
Strong oral and written communication and presentation skills
