The predicted salary is between 30000 - 42000 £ per year.

This is an Operations position responsible for assisting in and overseeing the safe operation, daily monitoring, and maintenance activities associated with general maintenance and repair of the facility, automatic retrieval systems, dock equipment, minor electrical repairs, plumbing, fleet shop, and security.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Demonstrate understanding and adherence to all work safety policies, procedures, and governing requirements.
  • Possess knowledge of controls and electrical systems (high and low voltage) with working knowledge of OSHA general industry electrical safety standards; Title 29.
  • Have working knowledge of NFPA 70 National Electrical Code and NFPA 70E electrical safety requirements.
  • Understand electrical meter testing.
  • Be familiar with OSHA electrical Arc Flash requirements.
  • Understand and troubleshoot PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers).
  • Complete small welding projects as needed.
  • Handle special projects related to buildings or grounds, such as moving furniture or fixtures, changing lights.
  • Perform basic maintenance and repairs to ensure timely completion of all maintenance needs.
  • Conduct general building maintenance, including light carpentry, painting, plumbing, changing light bulbs, and minor electrical repairs.
  • Maintain facility assets through scheduled preventative maintenance, including roof inspections and repairs.
  • Inspect and repair concrete and asphalt paving, industrial wear slabs, product racking, ASRS, and dock equipment.
  • Log time and materials into the CMMS daily, including work orders and preventive maintenance tasks.
  • Perform daily refrigeration operator duties, including inspections and logs.
  • Participate in departmental on-call rotations.
  • Maintain tools and equipment in a clean, safe, working condition.
  • Follow all safety protocols and wear appropriate PPE.
  • Respond to emergencies to ensure safety.
  • Promote safety culture within the department.
  • Comply with OSHA and other regulations.
  • Adhere to organizational policies regarding attire, grooming, and attendance.
  • Build effective relationships and demonstrate cooperation with team members.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Education: High School diploma or GED; facility maintenance tech school preferred.
  • Experience: At least four years of industrial facility and ASRS maintenance experience or equivalent. Refrigeration Operator I/RETA CARO certification preferred.
  • Skills: Ability to interpret technical procedures and regulations. Proficient in basic math and measurement conversions.
  • Certificates and Licenses: Valid driver's license and proof of liability insurance. Complete Sysco-approved defensive driving program. Obtain Powered Industrial Equipment Certification within 3 months. Electrical Arc Flash training (preferred). Trade electrical I & II training (preferred). Refrigeration Operator I RETA CARO (preferred).
  • Physical Demands: Regularly required to talk, hear, stand, walk, sit, handle, reach, climb, and balance. Occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and lift/move up to 100 pounds. Must have specific vision abilities including close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception.
  • Working Conditions: Occasional exposure to wet, hot, cold, humid conditions, moving parts, confined spaces, fumes, and airborne particles. Work hours include evenings, nights, weekends, holidays, and on-call. Potential travel to other locations as needed. Exposure to high places and variable noise levels.
