We're looking for a Facilities Technician to join our team in our Belfast facility. This role will play a key part in the overall growth of the organisation along with helping to maintain our core ethos here at Sysco - keeping the customer at the heart of everything we do.
Summary:
- Reporting to the facilities manager, key duties and responsibilities include:
- Ensure all heating plant and equipment is maintained & operated, adjusting as deemed necessary.
- Provide electro / mechanical troubleshooting.
- Ensure all MHE equipment faults are logged and acted upon.
- Maintain all operational switch & plant rooms.
- Assist with the water management maintenance regime throughout the site.
- Assist with the maintenance of all Heating, Ventilation & Air conditioning (HVAC) systems on-site.
- Assist with the maintenance & repair of the access control system.
- Be fully conversant and competent in the use of power tools to undertake any fitting, plumbing and minor joinery tasks that may be required.
- Carry out all allocated tasks and duties, in particular general Facilities maintenance.
- This includes maintaining general fixtures & fittings throughout the site, the unblocking of sinks, repair/replacement of taps, toilets and waste pipes.
- Ensure all allocated planned preventative maintenance work is carried out within the prescribed intervals.
- Complete all daily/weekly/monthly checklists via cmms system.
- Plan, track & close works/faults raised via the cmms system.
- Assist in maintaining documentary records of all work in support of regulatory requirements examined by external authorities, for example, HSE, Insurance Inspectors, etc.
- Assist / supervise external service contract providers.
- Assist in facilities maintenance of other Northern Ireland Sysco sites.
- Provide out of hours callout support.
- Maintain a positive & productive working relationship with all other Sysco departments.
- Provide an integral response to emergency incidents, and to assist appropriately based on situation arising.
Requirements:
- Possess relevant trade qualification Mechanical/ Electrical/ Automotive Qualification.
- Minimum 3 years' post apprentice experience in similar role in regulated manufacturing environment.
- Possess mechanical and electrical maintenance experience and/or qualifications.
- Excellent awareness and experience in relation to Quality, Health and Safety.
- Be familiar with planned preventative maintenance, HVAC, MHE.
- Experienced in fault finding and problem solving.
- Flexibility with shift rotation and travel.
- Have a current driving licence.
