The predicted salary is between 48000 - 72000 £ per year.

A competitive salary including annual performance bonus, car/travel allowance of £8000 per annum and private medical healthcare. Permanent, Hybrid contract with the requirement to work from the Newhouse, Scotland depot 2-3 times per month. Occasional travel across Europe will also be required.

Reporting to the Technology Strategy Director, the ‘European Pricing Functional Lead’ will be responsible for the development and delivery of the technology roadmap for the Pricing function. The primary objective of this role is to align Pricing capabilities to agreed Technology products/solutions across Sysco Europe and overseeing the associated Pricing Technology product development lifecycles in both large and small-scale change.

The role involves partnering with cross-functional stakeholders in both local and European markets, to ensure functional technology roadmaps are aligned with business objectives/strategy/process and adequately balance technical needs/considerations (i.e. maintenance, defects, fixes etc). You’ll own the technology products adopted by the Pricing function for Europe, both in terms of development and ongoing support/maintenance. A key role that will ensure technology standards are adhered to, both at a European and Global level.

Role Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to develop the Pricing Technology roadmap aligning capabilities to North Star products.
  • Oversee the development lifecycles of the Pricing technology products and tools, from requirements and design through to deployment, ensuring fit-for-purpose solutions are delivered.
  • Management of capital and operational costs for associated Pricing technology products/solutions across Europe ensuring alignment to budget.
  • Responsible for the operational performance of Pricing products/tools, ensuring adequate maintenance/supportability and adherence to required technical standards, with fixes/defects being prioritized in development backlogs.
  • Lead direct/indirect teams and partner network, ensuring resources are adequately utilized, with the right skill and capability to support the Pricing products/solutions from development through to operations.
  • Work with portfolio management to ensure functional plans integrate with wider local/Europe roadmaps, and adherence to the appropriate PMO and technology governance.
  • Explore opportunities for Benchmarking, sharing knowledge and implementing best practice across the wider European technology team.
Skill & Experience:

You’ll bring demonstrated experience as a Technology Leader, acting as a primary subject matter expert on technology pricing solutions. Expert knowledge of pricing modules, promotions, discounts and rebates from both a sales and cost perspective, and how this is enabled through technology solutions across ERP, Ecommerce, APIs and integrations is essential. Experience using D365/ Flintfox, Price FX or other similar pricing tools would be beneficial.

We’re looking for someone who has the ability to partner with business leaders to facilitate the translation of business pricing strategy/needs into technology roadmaps and solutions so effective communication and stakeholder management skills are critical. The ability to operate at both strategic and tactical levels, with strong analytical thinking to ensure pricing solutions work together to support the desired end-to-end pricing process/strategy.

You’ll have solid experience in developing pricing roadmaps, and leading multiple simultaneous product/project development teams in IT software delivery and operations. The successful candidate will have prior experience of leading delivery teams, fostering collaboration and continual improvement as well as resource and budget management.
