A satisfying role

We are seeking a highly organised and analytical Planning Team Manager to support our night shift operation in Hemel Hempstead. This role is critical to ensuring efficient warehouse execution through accurate labour planning, timely batch generation, and effective communication across internal teams and external depots. Reporting to the nights Warehouse Lead, you will play a key role in maintaining operational flow and service levels during the night shift. This is a pivotal role within the night operation, responsible for ensuring the right people, processes, and plans are in place to deliver seamless warehouse performance and support network service commitments.

What you bring to the mix

  • Manage the day-to-day running of the night administration office
  • Act as first line manager for the night admin team, providing leadership, guidance, and performance management
  • Take ownership of night shift warehouse resource planning, including labour allocation and holiday management
  • Ensure the smooth and timely generation of picking batches aligned with trunking schedules
  • Coordinate and optimise labour deployment across warehouse activities
  • Maintain clear and effective communication within the site and with SE depots
  • Monitor operational flow and proactively resolve issues impacting performance
  • Support delivery against KPIs including productivity, service levels, and cost efficiency
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within planning and execution processes
