This role will be on a 30hr contract across 3 days Thursday, Friday & Saturday 3am Start at £15.76 PH. Join us as a Class 1 Driver based from our Medina Food Service Depot in Newport, Isle of Wight, and enjoy a professional driving career with world-class, award-winning training and high operational standards. You’ll start with a thorough induction - then you'll be providing our customers a friendly, totally dedicated delivery service of food orders taking care to resolve any issues along the way. It's a vital role, and it can be hard work, but a Medina Food Service Driver makes it look easy!
You’ll need to pay attention for maintaining product temperatures in a multi-temperature controlled vehicle. You'll need awareness of VOSA compliance to ensure your vehicle checks are completed to a high standard to ensure roadworthiness. The role includes manual handling of our food produce to the customers' premises so you will need to comply with Health and Safety (SSOW), hygiene and other related legislation.
You’ll require a full class 1 drivers licence and extensive road knowledge of our local area. As our Trunk driver you'll use your strong communication and teamwork skills, knowledge and initiative to solve basic problems and make routine decisions.
