Basic Salary of 34,599 plus UHP plus a great range of benefits. 19:00-4:30am Sunday to Thursday with 1 in 4 Fridays, 45 hours a week in Eastleigh.
Responsibilities:
- Join our friendly team in Eastleigh as a Night shift Warehouse Operative/Shunter and enjoy a varied active role where no two shifts are the same.
- This is your chance to join a market leader in food distribution, Brakes (a Sysco Company), where you'll get job security, ongoing training, and real opportunities to grow your career within a welcoming team that treats you like family.
- You’ll spend around 80% of your time working in the warehouse and the rest of your shift taking care of on-site vehicle management.
- In the warehouse, you’ll be picking and checking a mix of ambient, chilled, and frozen food items using roll cages, PPTs, and handheld scanners to prepare stock for delivery and manage the flow of goods in and out.
- The shunter side of your role will keep you close to the action, moving our 14T, 18T, and 26T multi-temperature vehicles around the site, setting and monitoring fridge/freezer temperatures, and reporting any vehicle defects.
- You’ll play a key part in keeping everything running smoothly behind the scenes.
Qualifications:
- You’ll receive a full induction and tailored training plan including slow manoeuvring practice so you’ll feel confident and supported from day one.
- To succeed in this role, you’ll need a valid HGV driving licence and be comfortable lifting up to 25kg as part of your day-to-day tasks.
- You’ll also need your own transport to get to the depot.
- A good eye for detail, strong spatial awareness, and the ability to stay calm under pressure will help you thrive in this busy but rewarding environment.
