We have an exciting opportunity for a Corporate Account Director to be responsible for the development and implementation of Sysco’s strategy and plans with some of our largest customers. Creating and executing shared plans designed to consistently deliver great products and service to the customer whilst improving profitability and increasing efficiency and effectiveness. You’ll be leading, developing and coaching a team of five Corporate Account Managers, responsible for sales of over £250m.
What you’ll be doing:
- Develop and implement the customer strategy and plan
- Improve the delivery of service in line with the contracted commitments (SLAs), as well as identifying opportunities for innovation and improvement
- Partner closely with the customer, supply chain, finance and operations teams to improve the operational efficiency of the contract, looking for opportunities to maximise profitability
- Partner with the Corporate Account Managers, to manage key customer relationships and successfully negotiate mutually beneficial outcomes which achieve the service delivery plan
- Deliver the budget and P&L, making decisions that protect profitability and support best outcomes for Sysco and the customer
- Lead key strategic negotiations around service commitments, charging and contract management. Coach team members in this space to deliver successful outcomes, particularly in the area of product pricing.
- Provide leadership and direction to your immediate team and work effectively across matrix teams within the organisation whilst actively building organisational capability.
- Provide sponsorship for key talent and identify opportunities for development
- Lead effectively in line with our company values, committing to value-add activities to support employee engagement, development and wellbeing
- Operate through ‘hub and spoke’ relationships across the organisation, in particular, managing senior stakeholders effectively influencing critical business decisions.
- Play an active role in the shape, delivery and reputation of the Corporate SLT and bring energy, courage and sensitivity to the implementation of decisions that it makes.
What we are looking for:
- Previous experience of running a successful commercial team managing large customers
- Demonstrable sales and negotiation capability with the ability to coach others
- Proven experience within a fast-paced sales environment including significant contract negotiations
- Business Planning experience and the ability to help shape the future vision of the organisation.
- Strong Relationship Management at all levels, particularly senior levels
- Effectively influences senior level customers from Head of Supply Chain, Procurement Director through to Commercial Director. Can demonstrate persuasiveness.
- Coaching and developing high performing teams
- Strong analytical skills, financial acumen, and ability to proactively manage a P&L
