As Transport Compliance Lead for Sysco Northern Region, you will be responsible for the integrity of the company's modern fleet systems. Ensuring that they are operating efficiently, collating data and presenting it in a concise manner to allow Sysco to ensure the highest standards are adhered to on a daily basis. The role involves supporting the Transport management team and other stakeholders to ensure that the fleet is safe and compliant. Reporting to the General Manager, the role will provide management and compliance, reporting, auditing services vital to maintaining the overall compliance of the largest food distribution fleet in Ireland. The role is based at our Belfast Distribution Centre with occasional travel between various depots as required.

Key Accountabilities:
- Supporting the Transport team with their fleet and tachograph compliance through identifying trends and reporting any specific insights thus ensuring Sysco operations always remain compliant.
- Collate and manage a database for monitoring all colleague licenses.
- Align all Sysco Ireland transport operations to a suite of KPI's for driver hours and tachograph infringements in line with the DVSA guidelines.
- Champion of in-house safety initiative, Safe Home.
- Identify, assess and mitigate compliance risks.
- Promote a culture of safety and legal compliance across the organisation.
- Identify opportunities and implement initiatives for continuous improvements in ways of working, quality, consistency and effectiveness of process.
- Monitor and report on chill chain compliance in line with FSAI requirements.
- Drive active engagement with health and safety reporting timeline.
- Seek efficiencies in conducting our delivery point risk assessments.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure joined up compliance (HR, H&S, Fleet, Operations).
Requirements:
- Experience within a fast-paced distribution role.
- Knowledge of current tachograph legislation.
- Previous experience in distribution, logistics, or a related field.
- Excellent knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and web-based database systems.
- Ability to collect substantial amounts of data, quickly analyse and provide useful metrics for management.
- Ability to work as part of a team as well as on one's own initiative.
- Qualification in a related technical discipline an advantage.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex issues.
- Proficiency in the use of management software and other relevant tools.
