SYR are pleased to release a new consultant surveyor position to the market.
Working on behalf of a boutique office specialising in technical representation on behalf of owners entering the new build yacht market, this position would suit any candidate with deep onboard operational experience, refit PM, shipyard or marine surveying backgrounds.
In this role, some of the main tasks you'll be covering include the following elements
*Reviewing yard specifications and requirements
*Management and review of technical drawings
*Attending internal and external client meetings and inspections
*Participating in sea trials
*Producing client reports
*Monitoring and advising on contract variations
*Oversight of the construction schedule
This is a mid level role, reporting to the company Directors and will include travel both locally and internationally; expectations should be set at 1 week in 4 spent on site or attending yards/client/stakeholder engagements
When not travelling, the role would be hybrid with 2-3 office days per week and the rest WFH.
The office is located in the wider Southampton area, so please consider locations when applying. This is not a FT WFH position.
Salary bracket for this role is £50-55,000 plus benefits and expenses.
