SYR are seeking an experienced Senior Marine Electronics Project Engineer to join a growing marine engineering client of ours based on the south coast.
This is a senior technical role suited to someone who enjoys taking ownership of complex projects, solving challenging engineering problems and working closely with colleagues, clients and industry partners to deliver high-quality results.
This is not a people-management position .
You will work alongside and support more junior engineers, providing technical guidance and mentoring, while formal team leadership, performance management and resource planning remain with the Engineering Manager.
The Role As a Senior Marine Electronics Project Engineer, you will be responsible for the technical delivery of complex marine electronics projects from initial concept and design through installation, commissioning and ongoing support.
You will act as the technical lead on assigned projects, ensuring work is delivered to a high standard, engineering documentation is accurate and projects are completed effectively and professionally.
You will also play an important role in supporting and mentoring less experienced engineers, sharing technical knowledge and contributing to a collaborative, high-performing engineering environment.
Key Responsibilities Project Delivery Lead the technical delivery of assigned marine electronics projects.
Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and in accordance with agreed specifications.
Identify technical risks and resolve issues before they impact project delivery.
Manage project documentation, milestones and engineering records.
Support installation, commissioning, testing and fault-finding activities both remotely and on-site.
Coordinate with internal teams, manufacturers, suppliers and other project stakeholders.
