SYR are supporting a maritime client to hire a senior Project/Contract Manager specialising in interior fit outs on a range of marine vessels.
The client is a specialist joinery and interior fit-out contractor with a reputation for excellence and innovation and an international track record of achievement within a broad range of sectors including marine, luxury hotels, prime residential and commercial.
If you are an experienced project manager who is tired of the weekly commute to London then this could be the opportunity for you to join a dynamic and progressive company where you can make a difference.
The ideal candidate will have 5+ years experience leading project delivery within the interior fit-out industry and a third level construction related qualification. Candidates must have excellent leadership, organisational and communication skills along with strong contract knowledge and commercial acumen. Experience of delivering marine fit-out projects is desirable, but not essential.
Main duties will include:
- Manage the successful delivery of projects.
- Undertake responsibility for all safety, health, environment and quality matters ensuring adherence to statutory and legal requirements and Company procedures.
- Develop the project plan and budget, monitor progress and ensure deliverables are achieved.
- Ensure that project resources i.e. staff, labour, plant, materials and sub-contractors are effectively managed.
- Manage client relationships.
- Ensure contractual conditions are adhered to and the contractual position is not compromised.
- Proactively participate in value engineering to maximise project contribution.
The role is hybrid with applicants considered from across the British Isles, and there will be a requirement to travel to locations throughout the world to oversee project delivery.
