About the Role

As a USV commissioning engineer you will work in a busy, fast‑paced start‑up environment. Your main responsibilities will be to ensure the total functionality and completion of our small marine craft platforms by managing and executing the commissioning process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble and install onboard equipment, sensors and communication systems.
  • Conduct system tests, including power‑up, sensor calibration and communication setup.
  • Develop and execute commissioning plans to meet performance and functional requirements.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues that arise during commissioning.
  • Collaborate with design and development teams to provide feedback on system performance and reliability.
  • Document commissioning process, test results, procedures and any modifications.

Key Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in robotics, electrical engineering or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of proven experience in autonomous systems or robotics projects.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
  • Experience with DC motor controllers, RF equipment, PLCs, LAN integration and networking.
  • Understanding of data communications such as analogue/digital I/O signals and RS232/422/485 CANbus.
  • Knowledge of mechatronics and Linux is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with other engineering disciplines.
