Key Responsibilities
- Schematic Capture & PCB Design: Develop detailed schematics and perform multi‑layer Printed Circuit Board (PCB) layouts for critical onboard electronic systems.
- Digital Design: Design and implement digital circuitry for various vehicle subsystems.
- Electronics Assembly & Debugging: Participate in the assembly of electronic prototypes and conduct thorough fault‑finding and debugging to ensure system functionality.
- Communication Interfaces: Design and integrate various communication interfaces, including Ethernet, I2C, MIPI CSI‑2, and other serial communication protocols.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross‑functional teams, particularly the software team, to ensure seamless hardware‑software integration and system optimization.
- Problem Solving: Apply strong analytical and problem‑solving skills to diagnose and resolve complex electronic design and integration challenges.
- Documentation: Create comprehensive design documentation, test plans, and assembly procedures.
What You’ll Bring
- A Bachelor\’s degree in Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
- 3+ years of proven professional experience in electronics design and development.
Core Skills
- Proficiency in schematic capture and PCB layout software (e.g. Eagle, Altium Designer, KiCad, Fusion360 etc).
- Demonstrable experience with multi‑layer PCB design.
- Strong understanding of digital electronics design principles.
- Hands‑on experience with electronics assembly, testing, fault‑finding, and debugging.
- Solid knowledge of common communication interfaces such as Ethernet, I2C, SPI, and UART.
Desirable Skills
- Experience with Design for Manufacture (DFM) principles.
- Knowledge of high‑power electronics, 3‑phase motors, and motor drivers.
- Experience with sensor and camera integration.
- Understanding of mixed‑signal circuit design.
- Experience with microcontroller programming (C/C++, Assembly, Python).
- Familiarity with development boards like Arduino or Raspberry Pi.
- Experience with FPGAs and Hardware Description Languages (VHDL or Verilog).
