We are looking for a Radiographer to fill a bank role at Syon Clinic, part of the Circle Health Group. The position is on an "as and when required" basis, supplementing staffing levels during busy periods and covering for existing staff during leave or absence.

Responsibilities

  • Perform a wide range of diagnostic radiographic procedures (e.g., general X‑rays, theatre, fluoroscopy, mobiles) following referral and imaging protocols.
  • Ensure high‑quality images are produced to support accurate diagnosis, minimising the need for repeat exposures.
  • Adapt techniques to meet the needs of individual patients, including paediatrics, bariatrics and patients with limited mobility.
  • Provide a safe, dignified and person‑centred service, ensuring patients are informed, comfortable and reassured throughout their examination.
  • Monitor patients' conditions during procedures and respond appropriately to any signs of deterioration.
  • Ensure equipment is checked, maintained and used safely and effectively, reporting faults promptly.
  • Assist in the implementation and use of new imaging technologies, techniques and digital systems (e.g., PACS, RIS).
  • Work closely with radiologists, consultants, nurses, porters and admin teams to coordinate care efficiently and maintain smooth patient pathways.

Qualifications and Experience

  • BSc (Hons) in Diagnostic Radiography or equivalent qualification.
  • HCPC registration as a Diagnostic Radiographer.
  • Experienced mammographer essential, with general X‑ray, MRI and CT experience desirable.
  • Experience in general radiographic techniques and equipment.
  • Good understanding of IR(ME)R, health & safety, infection control and patient confidentiality requirements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient‑centred approach.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Post‑graduate experience or additional training in a specialist area desirable (e.g., CT, MRI, theatre imaging, mammography).

Salary & Benefits
