The role of Business Development Manager is to identify, engage and win new business opportunities for Synyega, with a primary focus on enterprise organisations and the higher end of the mid-market. The successful candidate will be a hunter, comfortable opening doors and creating pipeline for FinOps, ITAM and GreenOps services. They will qualify opportunities effectively and drive them through the sales process, working closely with Presales, Marketing, Delivery and Partner teams to ensure success. This role is remote, but requires travel to client sites, events and team activities as needed.
Responsibilities
- Prospecting, engaging and building relationships with new enterprise and upper mid-market clients.
- Identifying, qualifying and developing opportunities for Synyega services across FinOps, ITAM and GreenOps.
- Driving opportunities through the sales process with discipline and professionalism.
- Collaborating with Presales to ensure clients receive expert guidance and solutions.
- Working with Marketing to align outreach with campaigns and market messaging.
- Building relationships with Partners and contributing to joint opportunities.
- Maintaining accurate pipeline and activity information within the sales process.
- Representing Synyega at industry events, networking opportunities and client meetings.
- Acting as an ambassador for the EPIC values of the company in all interactions.
Experience & Skills
- Proven track record in business development or sales within IT consulting, cloud or software services.
- Strong hunter mentality with experience opening doors and creating new business opportunities.
- Understanding of enterprise buying cycles and how to engage senior stakeholders.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with technical Presales and Delivery colleagues.
- Excellent communication, presentation and relationship-building skills.
- Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, growing business environment.
- Experience selling FinOps, ITAM or GreenOps services.
- Knowledge of cloud adoption, cost management, licensing or sustainability challenges in IT.
- Established network in enterprise IT, procurement or finance communities.
- Experience working with or through Partners and Alliances.
- Familiarity with CRM and disciplined sales pipeline management.
Qualifications/Experience
- Degree (BSc/BA or equivalent) or relevant IT experience.
- You may have gained relevant experience from a variety of backgrounds and for the right person we will provide training and support to help you become successful in this role.
Languages
- English: excellent verbal and written skills are essential.
Location
- Remote within the United Kingdom, with the ability to travel for client meetings, conferences and occasional team activities.
