Purpose of Job:
Ensure that the company adheres to Global Regulatory Chemical regulations regarding the provision of safety data sheets and labels. Examine raw material and product information thoroughly. Keep data updated in the SAP EHS module. This is an entry-level position.
Main Accountabilities:
The individual will receive training to ensure they are capable of fulfilling the following responsibilities.
Technically review a raw material safety data sheet and verify the classification and labelling of a raw material
Identify discrepancies in supplier compliance and address them whenever feasible.
Keep the raw material database information current by creating and editing records as needed
Manage raw material data within the S/4 Hana SAP system EHS module
Generate safety data sheets and labels as necessary
Actively collaborate with subject matter experts to enhance knowledge in general regulatory compliance for Specialty Chemistry
Minimum Requirements:
Essential Education Requirement: Degree in Chemistry or a related field. Alternatively, candidates with relevant experience will be considered (Regulatory or SHE role).
Experience: Knowledge of classification and labelling of substances and mixtures in accordance with the Globally Harmonised System is desirable but not obligatory as full training will be provided. Previous experience with SAP EHS would be an advantage.
Location and Travel requirements:
This position is based in Harlow, Essex. It is a hybrid role that necessitates being on-site at the Harlow location for at least three days each week.
