About the Role
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Reliability Technician to join our Maintenance team. In this role, you will support the delivery of reliability and maintenance engineering activities predominantly on our Lithene Plant, helping to improve performance, safety, and operational efficiency. Working closely with the Site Mechanical Maintenance Engineer, you will carry out inspections, monitoring, and repairs, while also contributing to the development of reliability systems and best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure full compliance with health, safety, and environmental procedures, including oversight of contractors when required
- Carry out reliability inspections and monitoring.
- Servicing and Maintenance of mechanical equipment.
- Support and contribute to the development of reliability tours and systems
- Collaborate with production, engineering, and technical teams to resolve process, SHE, and performance issues
- Identify and recommend improvements in inspection, testing, and reliability technologies
- Provide regular updates and reports on reliability activities and progress
- Assist in the investigation of incidents and failures related to reliability issues
- Ensure all risk assessments and method statements are followed and adhered to.
What We’re Looking For
Qualifications
- Ideally HNC (or equivalent) in an engineering discipline (Mechanical preferred, other disciplines considered)
Experience & Skills
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a relevant engineering role
- Strong planning, reporting, and documentation skills
- Ability to work independently and make informed decisions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage across all levels of the business
- A proactive mindset, with a passion for continuous improvement and reliability excellence
- Good IT skills with experience of using Microsoft office.
- Knowledge of SAP S4 system would be advantageous but not essential.
