This opportunity is for experienced Microbiologists interested in contributing to advanced AI research and evaluation projects. The role involves applying microbiology expertise to evaluate scientific content, improve AI-generated responses, and support the development of next-generation AI systems through high-quality scientific knowledge. No prior AI experience is required. Your scientific expertise and domain knowledge are the primary qualifications for success in this role.
Responsibilities:
- Investigate and analyze the structure, physiology, and behavior of microorganisms, including bacteria, fungi, and algae.
- Apply expertise in medical and environmental microbiology to evaluate scientific content and AI-generated outputs.
- Assess the effects of antibiotics and other antimicrobial agents on microbial populations.
- Review microbiology-related data for scientific accuracy, consistency, and completeness.
- Document scientific findings and methodologies to support high-quality AI training data.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure scientific rigor and data integrity.
- Apply structured evaluation criteria and rubrics to assess scientific quality and improve AI performance.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Microbiology, Biology, Chemistry, or a related Life Sciences discipline.
- Strong knowledge of bacteriology, mycology, microbiology, and microbial physiology.
- Experience investigating microbial structure, function, and interactions.
- Strong analytical, scientific reasoning, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to scientific accuracy.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree or PhD in Microbiology or a related field.
- Experience developing or applying scientific evaluation frameworks or rubrics.
- Experience with AI, machine learning, data annotation, or scientific content evaluation.
- Research experience in microbiology, infectious diseases, environmental microbiology, or related disciplines.
Compensation:
