No prior AI experience is required. Your investment banking expertise and understanding of transaction execution are the primary qualifications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build, update, and troubleshoot Excel-based valuation and transaction models, ensuring accuracy and logical consistency.
  • Prepare and review pitchbooks and client presentation materials reflecting transaction scenarios and strategic rationale.
  • Analyze sample materials to identify numerical errors, weak strategic arguments, and unclear logic, providing actionable feedback.
  • Explain accounting treatments, valuation adjustments, deal sensitivities, and the impact of key assumptions on analytical outcomes.
  • Provide clear written and verbal explanations of complex financial concepts for diverse audiences.

Required Qualifications

  • Strong expertise in financial modeling, Excel, and valuation methodologies.

  • Strong analytical review, scenario analysis, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation abilities.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to identify quantitative inaccuracies and strategic weaknesses in transaction materials.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience as a former Senior Associate, preferably at the third-year level, or Vice President within an M&A or industry-coverage team at a leading investment bank, established M&A boutique, or sector-focused advisory firm.
  • Substantial hands‑on experience with live acquisition or sale processes.
  • A track record of producing high-quality financial analyses and client‑facing deliverables.
  • Ability to prepare and review analytical models and presentation materials to senior banker and client standards.
  • Advanced Excel modeling skills, including troubleshooting, scenario analysis, and presenting outputs with clear supporting rationale.
  • Direct experience in company and industry research, target screening, comparable company analysis, and pitchbook preparation.
  • Ability to communicate complex financial findings clearly and provide precise, actionable feedback.

Compensation & Engagement

  • Compensation: $175–$300 per hour.
  • Engagement Type: Contractor.
  • Work Arrangement: Fully remote.

The role focuses on applying practical M&A advisory experience to financial analysis, valuation, transaction modeling, and the review of investment banking deliverables.
