The Role
We’re seeking an Infrastructure Engineer to keep our infrastructure reliable, our costs down, and our deliveries smooth. Working closely with our development and customer engineering teams, you’ll own the operational side of our infrastructure:
- Manage our internal release process, getting multiple deliverables from code to production reliably.
- Implement automated security controls and vulnerability management.
- Make efficient use of the IT systems and tools comprising our infrastructure: CI/CD platform, artifact storage, on‑call management, etc.
- Own our SaaS platform operations—monitoring, scaling, and maintaining the foundation our development team builds upon.
- Advise customers on infrastructure topics and troubleshoot issues in their on‑prem environments.
- Act as a go‑to subject matter expert on all things infrastructure, especially containerisation and workload orchestration.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement infrastructure as code using tools like Terraform or AWS CDK.
- Develop automation scripts and workflows for cloud resource provisioning, configuration management, and operational tasks.
- Build CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure deployment and application delivery.
- Create monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions through code.
- Implement and automate security controls according to best practices and compliance requirements.
- Optimize and implement automated controls for cloud resource utilization and cost management.
- Evolve our operational processes: on‑calls, runbook base, alerting and so on.
About You
Essential qualities:
- Proven experience with at least one major cloud provider: AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Strong programming skills in languages relevant to cloud automation (Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, PowerShell, shell scripts, etc.).
- Experience with infrastructure as code tools and methodologies.
- Understanding of DevOps principles and practices.
- Knowledge of containerisation technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift).
- Familiarity with CI/CD concepts and tools (GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps).
- Experience with monitoring and observability implementation.
- Understanding of cloud security best practices and implementing security controls as code.
