Synthesia is the worldβs leading AI video platform for business, used by over 90% of the Fortune 100. Founded in 2017, the company is headquartered in London, with offices and teams across Europe and the US. As AI continues to shape the way we live and work, Synthesia develops products to enhance visual communication and enterprise skill development, helping people work better and stay at the center of successful organizations.
We're looking for a Senior Digital Designer (Senior/Principal-level) to join our Solution Creative Design Team and own how design scales across the customer lifecycle at Synthesia. This is a senior IC role for a designer who has spent significant time inside commercial organisations and knows what it takes to make design a measurable lever for adoption, expansion, and customer success. You won't just be crafting individual templates; you'll own the systems, frameworks, and visual architecture that the team and our customers depend on.
The Solution Creative Design Team sits at the heart of how we help some of the world's largest companies create video at scale. In this role, you'll partner closely with Solutions Consultants, Customer Success, Sales, RevOps, and Product to embed design into the commercial motions that drive time-to-value, activation, and retention.
This role is right for you if you:
- Have owned design systems at scale inside a commercial SaaS environment
- Understand how creative output translates to commercial metrics (onboarding speed, adoption velocity, NRR, CSAT, pilot conversion)
- Are equally energised by setting the creative bar and operationalising design at scale
- Want a senior IC track - strategic scope and cross-functional influence without people-management responsibilities
What you will be doing:
- Be an owner of the visual architecture for the Solution Creative Design function β defining the template systems, motion frameworks, and brand-execution standards that scale across our customer base
- Design reusable libraries, modular components, and content systems that accelerate onboarding, pilots, and expansion for some of the world's largest enterprises
- Partner with Sales, CS & Solutions Consulting to embed creative output into commercial motions β from pilot delivery and onboarding through to QBRs and expansion plays
- Translate customer goals and commercial KPIs into design decisions; tie visual execution to measurable outcomes like activation rate, time-to-value, content velocity, and NRR
- Set and uphold the creative bar across the team's output - leading reviews, raising quality standards, and mentoring mid-level and junior designers as a craft and quality coach
- Drive the evolution of design tooling, rituals, and operations β reviews, QA, libraries, documentation β so the team gets faster, more consistent, and more scalable
- Shape platform-wide template architecture, partnering with Product where customer-facing design intersects with the platform itself
- Act as a strategic creative voice in cross-functional initiatives: GTM launches, lifecycle programs, customer rollouts, and high-stakes enterprise engagements
- Stay close to the AI video frontier β infusing innovation into design, motion, and storytelling so our outputs feel current and ambitious
We'd love to hear from you ifβ¦
- 8+ years of design experience in commercial / GTM-facing environments (SaaS, enterprise software, or commercial-side teams in agencies serving SaaS clients), with a portfolio that shows scaled systems β not just standalone deliverables
- You have demonstrably owned a design system, template library, or visual framework at scale β and can walk through how it was structured, adopted across the org, governed, and measured
- You understand the commercial mechanics of a SaaS business and can confidently connect design work to metrics like time-to-value, activation, retention, and expansion
- You've worked shoulder-to-shoulder with Sales, Customer Success or Solutions Consulting and are comfortable holding your own in commercial conversations
- You're a senior craftsperson with deep fluency in Figma, Photoshop, and Illustrator, strong working knowledge of After Effects and Premiere Pro, and a sharp eye for typography, motion, and brand execution
- You've mentored and raised the bar for other designers β IC1s and IC2s look to you as a coach for quality, judgment, and craft
- You bring a systems-thinking mindset β when you see an asset or process being recreated, your instinct is to standardise it
- You're comfortable being a strategic creative partner across functions, and equally comfortable in the details of high-craft execution
Why join Synthesia?
