Responsibilities:
- Lead the design direction of our product and ensure a cohesive and outstanding visual language and user experience.
- Coaching and providing feedback on your team’s performance, helping them develop clear career development goals and action plans to achieve them.
- Partner with our Director of Product Design and VP of Product to evolve the Product Design team: our people, our structure, our processes, our beliefs.
- Anticipate and plan for the design investments necessary to take the product to new heights.
- Ensure product design is a strategic differentiator and that Synthesia is known for a simple, cohesive, and memorable user experience.
- Lead a team rethinking the paradigm of video creation around the latest advancements in generative AI.
- Identify opportunities to bring more of the brand into our Product Design.
Requirements:
- Experience designing digital products and systems. This isn’t solely a people management role—you’ll also be involved with and guide the product work.
- Experience managing Product Designers and genuinely caring about how the people who report to you perform, feel, and grow.
- A working knowledge of the full stack of Product Design, from systems thinking to visual design.
- Ability to envision and lead change.
- A growth mindset. Willingness to own problems. Comfort with ambiguity. Passion for building product. A desire to make things better.
