Synthesia is moving beyond static generation into the world of Agentic AI. We are building next-tier conversational agents that enable two-way, real-time interaction using our industry-leading AI video technology. We are looking for an unrelenting Senior/Lead Engineer to bridge the gap between infrastructure, UX, and machine learning to ship these groundbreaking features to our global customer base.
The Role:
- Agentic AI Ownership: Contribute end-to-end to our new suite of AI Agents, managing everything from prompt engineering and LLM integration to infrastructure and safe feature releases.
- Hybrid Challenges: Solve complex puzzles that sit at the intersection of UX design, robust infrastructure, and ML model performance.
- Strategic Project Lead: Take sole ownership of long-term initiatives, breaking down ambitious AI goals into iterative, validated milestones.
- Product Partnership: Work side-by-side with Product Managers to define the commercial application of our conversational tech. You’ll have a direct hand in shaping the product roadmap.
- Impact Analysis: Utilize our internal data frameworks to evaluate how your AI features drive commercial success, pivoting based on real-world performance.
- Technical Foresight: Ensure the team stays 6–12 months ahead by developing the engineering capabilities required for the next wave of AI challenges.
What We Are Looking For:
- Seasoned Engineer: 7+ years of total experience, with at least 3 years in a Senior or Lead capacity.
- High-Scale Experience: A background in high-performing engineering teams (scale-ups or top-tier tech firms) with a culture of excellence.
- Backend & ML Expertise: Deep knowledge of server-side architecture and Machine Learning. While we focus on the backend, you should be comfortable assisting with Frontend needs when necessary.
- SaaS Product Background: Experience building enterprise-level systems (billing, real-time collaboration, experimentation platforms, etc.) for AI-powered products.
- Commercial Mindset: You are motivated by shipping products that move the needle for the business.
- Leadership: Prior experience managing or mentoring small teams is a strong advantage.
