The Role

As a key member of our bioinformatics team, you will play a pivotal role in advancing our mission to design T cell receptors (TCRs) using AI. Your work will focus on developing, maintaining, and optimizing bioinformatics pipelines to analyze TCR sequence data, integrating insights from AI models, high-throughput sequencing, and custom assays. You\’ll be responsible for ensuring high-quality data processing and performing in-depth analyses to correlate experimental results with computational predictions.

Collaboration will be central to your role, as you\’ll work closely with AI teams to validate model predictions and provide feedback for improvement. Additionally, you\’ll partner with assay development teams to refine data generation protocols and troubleshoot experimental challenges. Managing internal databases for TCR sequence and assay data, along with creating visualization and reporting tools, will be critical for empowering the broader team to make data-driven decisions. With a strong emphasis on innovation, you\’ll identify and implement new technologies or methods to enhance our bioinformatics capabilities, driving the field forward.

Essential qualifications

  • Advanced degree (M.Sc. or Ph.D.) in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or similar.
  • Hands-on experience with sequencing data (Illumina, Nanopore, or other platforms) and related bioinformatics tools.
  • Familiarity with TCR biology, immunogenomics, or similar immunology-focused datasets.
  • Experience with databases (SQL, NoSQL) and cloud computing platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to derive actionable insights from complex datasets.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for interdisciplinary collaboration.

Desirable qualifications

  • Experience integrating AI models with bioinformatics workflows.
  • Familiarity with single-cell RNA sequencing and immune repertoire profiling.
  • Experience with mass spectrometry-based immunopeptidomics data and omics data more broadly.
  • Knowledge of custom assay design and high-throughput data analysis.
  • Proficiency in containerization (e.g., Docker) and workflow management tools (e.g., Nextflow, Snakemake).
  • Prior experience in a biotech or pharmaceutical setting.
