Job Description

The QMM Manager (Quality Management and Methods Manager) at Syntegon acts as an internal service provider to the organisation. This role involves:

  • Management and reporting of Bristol Quality Management & Methods actions & deliverables
  • Maintaining strong communication with stakeholders throughout the site and within Syntegon
  • Working with all departments internally and externally

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supports all departments in the development, maintenance and continual drive for improvement of QMS processes and documentation
  • Coaching and training staff on quality standards and best practices
  • Maintain, monitor and measure the effectiveness of Bristol Quality Management System; conduct internal audits on company quality management system; assist/facilitate other PA site audits; implement the company Quality Policy, review the contents and scope and ensure its updated accordingly
  • Strong knowledge of ISO standards (for example, ISO 9001) and other relevant frameworks, experience establishing, maintaining, and improving Quality Management Systems (QMS)
  • Ability to design, implement, and audit quality processes and procedures
  • Supports the organization to carry out structured processes such as risk assessments, 8Ds and lessons learned for customer and internal quality issues with focus on customer satisfaction and prevention of defects
  • Monitors and regularly reports on performance regarding quality objectives
  • Conduct annual standard reviews to ensure changes are captured, and where relevant processes are updated to reflect relevant changes; communicate to the business relevant changes to specific industry standards
  • Uphold a proactive approach to QMM to drive continuous improvements
  • CpC (Cockpit Charts reporting)
  • Monthly Reporting / Analysis (Defect costs, OTD, Concessions, Complaints, Supplier performance)
  • Participate in QG4 / Lessons Learned meetings to focus on Customer Satisfaction, prevention of defects and improvement actions

Qualifications

  • Completed technical degree or comparable qualification
  • Several years of professional experience in the HSE/ EHS area
  • Analytic skills, especially for legal principles and context
  • Ability to write clear documentation, recommendations and instructions
  • Certified Quality Manager and auditor with experience in maintenance of a Quality Management System preferred
  • Fundamental technical knowledge in special machine construction
  • Problem solving experience in methodologies such as 8D, 5 Why, Ishikawa
  • Ability to detect faults (design, process and procedural) and to participate in finding root causes and their solutions
  • Experienced in risk management of projects
  • Experienced in leading quality and continuous improvement initiatives in a machine construction company, or equivalent blend of education and experience
  • Proficient in office standard software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, etc.)
  • Action oriented, quick learner, ambitious; has experience in driving change and delivering results
  • Ability to interpret data, spot trends, and make decisions based on evidence, Basic statistical analysis and use of quality tools (for example, control charts, Pareto analysis)
