Job Description

Are you a commercially driven sales professional with technical insight and a talent for turning customers into long-term partners? Join Syntegon Group as our After Sales Service Manager Food Service (UK) and own the service relationship in your territory. You’ll drive revenue, promote our Service Portfolio, and deliver measurable value to food industry customers.

Key responsibilities

  • As the trusted Service representative in your territory, you will develop and execute a territory coverage plan to proactively identify, pursue and close service opportunities.
  • Promote and sell the Syntegon Service Portfolio by understanding customers’ business challenges and desired outcomes.
  • Lead data-driven commercial conversations and present tailored service solutions.
  • Maintain accurate opportunity records, clear action plans and reliable monthly/quarterly/yearly forecasts in the CRM system.
  • Achieve personal sales targets and expand key and regional strategic accounts.
  • Collaborate with Customer Service (CCS), Technical Customer Sales (TCS), Field Service Engineers and New Equipment Sales to ensure seamless customer coverage.
  • Spend over 60% of your time in direct customer engagement, lead negotiations and perform win/loss reviews on key deals.

Qualifications

What you’ll bring

  • To succeed in this role you’ll combine technical understanding with commercial drive and proven service sales experience.
  • Degree in Engineering/Technical or Business, or equivalent experience.
  • At least 5 years’ experience in service sales management within capital equipment or service operations; packaging industry experience is a strong plus.
  • Practical experience with SAP and CRM systems.
  • Commercial drive, entrepreneurial mindset and a proactive, results-oriented approach.
  • Strong communication, objection-handling and negotiation skills.
  • Clear understanding of maintenance strategies and operational efficiencies.
  • Excellent time management, prioritisation skills and ability to perform under pressure.
  • Assertive relationship-builder who can develop customers into strategic partners.
  • Located in the UK.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 70% of the time.
