Your responsibilities & tasks:
- This role is focused on driving after-sales service sales and system modernization across the UK and Ireland, combining commercial ambition with technical understanding.
- You will spend the majority of your time in direct customer engagement, managing offers and orders in SAP and keeping accurate opportunity and forecast records in the CRM.
- Promote and sell after sales service solutions and system modernization to meet sales targets by understanding customers’ business challenges, in the UK and Ireland.
- Prepare offers in SAP and follow-up quotations to secure orders.
- Maintain accurate opportunity records, clear action plans and reliable monthly/quarterly/yearly forecasts in the CRM system.
- Negotiate service contract terms and ensure closure of contracts.
- Use CRM tools to enhance sales, achieve maximum lead conversion, and follow up.
- Spend over 60% of your time in direct customer engagement in the field.
Your profile and qualifications:
- We are looking for a candidate who combines at least five years of after-sales service experience in the UK with practical SAP and CRM skills, industry relevance and strong commercial and negotiation abilities.
- A background in the packaging industry (or similar capital equipment sectors), understanding of maintenance strategies and demonstrable service sales impact will make your application stand out.
- Must-Haves:
- At least 5 years’ experience in after sales service management.
- Experience in the packaging industry, or from similar capital equipment manufacturers.
- Your service experience must have been acquired in the UK.
- Practical experience with SAP and CRM systems.
- Degree in Engineering/Technical or Business, or equivalent experience.
- Clear understanding of maintenance strategies and operational efficiencies.
- Strong communication, objection-handling and negotiation skills.
