We’re looking for a Senior Design Engineer to join a leading performance engineering business near Leamington Spa. This is a permanent role, offering the chance to work on cutting-edge transmission and driveline projects across automotive and motorsport.

Senior Design Engineer Duties:
- Produce detailed mechanical designs, stress calculations, FMEAs, 2D layouts, and tolerance stacks
- Carry out FEA analysis, shaft and bearing analysis, and gear data specification
- Select materials and define manufacturing processes
- Design casings and castings with Creo Simulate (or similar)
- Produce technical reports and documentation
- Support manufacturing and assembly during first-off builds
- Liaise with customers, suppliers, and internal operations to resolve technical queries
- Provide design support for global projects
Senior Design Engineer Profile:
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent experience)
- Experience in automotive, motorsport, or performance engineering environments
- Strong knowledge of transmission systems
- Proficient in 3D CAD (Creo preferred, Catia/NX also considered)
- High competency in 2D drawings and GD&T
- Familiarity with PLM systems (Windchill preferred)
- Understanding of modern manufacturing methods and FEA techniques
- Flexible and capable of working to tight deadlines
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel
Desirable: Knowledge of gear geometry, casting methods, additive manufacturing, eMobility drivetrains, and hydraulic circuits.
