Syntech Recruitment are supporting a precision engineering manufacturer near Abingdon in their search for a skilled Quality Engineer to join their growing team on a permanent basis.

Quality Engineer Responsibilities:
- Liaise with customers and suppliers on quality-related matters.
- Support manufacturing by identifying and reporting quality shortfalls.
- Train operators in inspection techniques and equipment use.
- Manage measurement and test equipment calibration systems.
- Produce inspection reports, trend analyses, and quality documentation packs.
- Lead non-conformance and customer complaint investigations using 8D/5Why methodologies.
- Conduct internal and supplier audits, driving process improvements.
- Translate customer quality requirements into detailed manufacturing instructions.
- Create Quality Control Plans and LTQRS for specific customer projects.
Quality Engineer Profile:
- At least 5 years' experience in a Quality Engineering or similar technical role.
- A Mechanical Engineering Apprenticeship or equivalent technical background.
- Strong understanding of inspection techniques and the ability to interpret complex engineering drawings.
- Experience with non-conformance management, calibration systems, and audits.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and confidence in training others.
- Knowledge of CMMs (PC-DMIS) is a distinct advantage but not essential.
