Salary: £35,000 + overtime (OTE £40k+)

Hours: Day Shift | 39 Hours per Week

At Syntech Recruitment, we are partnering with a long-standing power solutions provider to find Field Service Engineers, paid door to door, plenty of overtime available, have the van for personal use, flat 39 hour week and anything over this is paid overtime.

Service Engineer Responsibilities:
  • Attend customer sites to service, fault-find and repair diesel generators and related power equipment
  • Work from the Essex depot when not on-site, inspecting and preparing equipment for dispatch
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults, including AC/DC systems and control panel issues
  • Complete PDI and service documentation accurately and on time
  • Take part in an on-call rota, including Bank Holidays
  • Conduct daily vehicle defect checks
  • Follow Health & Safety procedures at all times
Service Engineer Experience:
  • Previous hands-on experience with diesel generators and general mechanical maintenance
  • Strong knowledge of both mechanical and electrical systems
  • Full UK Driving Licence (held for a minimum of 3 years)
  • Organised, self-motivated and customer-focused
  • Confident communicator – able to engage with clients and internal teams
  • Forklift licence preferred (but training will be provided if required)
