A leading performance engineering and precision manufacturing business is expanding its CNC team and is looking for experienced CNC Turner for its night shift operation. This is not highâvolume, buttonâpress work. You will be machining complex, highâprecision components for demanding sectors (e.g. niche aerospace, motorsport, performance products) where tolerances are tight and quality is critical. Batch sizes are typically 1â20 off, with multiple tool changes per run and a real focus on craftsmanship.
Shift pattern & pay:
- Nights: MondayâThursday, 9:15pmâ7:00am
- Approx. 9.25 hours per night (including breaks)
- Salary: ÂŁ42,400âÂŁ43,500 (including shift premium)
- Training / induction initially carried out on day shift rate for the first few weeks
CNC Turner role:
- Set and operate CNC lathes on complex, lowâvolume components (1s, 5s, 10s, 20s â not large batches)
- Work to very tight tolerances for demanding endâuse applications
- Carry out multiple tool changes per job/run
- Read and interpret CNC programs and make onâmachine adjustments
- Identify and correct errors in programs
