Salary: £21.15 - £24.00 per hour (£44,000 - £50,000 per annum / 40hrs)
Location: Woking, Surrey (commutable from Guildford, Farnborough, Camberley, Bracknell, Leatherhead, Aldershot and surrounding areas)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30am – 4:00pm (40 hours per week with flexible start/finish times)
Overtime: £31.73 - £36.00 per hour (paid at 1.5x basic rate)
Duration: Permanent
This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on CNC Turning professional with leadership experience to join a modern, well-equipped machine shop. You'll lead a team of CNC Turners, Manual Machinists and Apprentices, ensuring production targets, quality standards and continuous improvement initiatives are achieved whilst remaining actively involved in the machining environment.

CNC Turner Team Leader Responsibilities
- Lead, motivate and develop a team of CNC Turners, Manual Machinists and Apprentices
- Coordinate daily production priorities to achieve quality and delivery targets
- Monitor KPIs including productivity, machine utilisation, quality and scrap
- Provide technical support with CNC programming, setting and machining operations
- Support process optimisation, tooling selection and fixture improvements
- Manufacture precision components to tight tolerances when required
- Review engineering drawings and manufacturing methods
- Support New Product Introduction (NPI) projects alongside Engineering
- Lead root cause investigations and implement corrective actions
- Support recruitment, onboarding and staff development
CNC Turner Team Leader Requirements
- Previous experience leading or supervising a CNC machining team
- Strong CNC Turning background with programming, setting and operating experience
- Good knowledge of Mazatrol controls and ISO programming
- Experience with Mazak Hyper Quadrex or similar multi-axis CNC lathes
- Strong understanding of machining processes, tooling and cutting parameters
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement experience
