Location: Based near Woking

Salary: £35,000 – £45,000 per annum DOE

Hours: Monday – Friday, 7:30am – 4:00pm, 40 hours per week with flexi start and finish times

Syntech Recruitment are recruiting for an experienced CNC Turner Setter Operator to join a leading precision engineering manufacturer based in Send, Woking. This is a hands-on machining role working with Mazak and Fanuc CNC lathes, producing high-quality precision components from aluminium, stainless steel and brass. The role would suit an experienced CNC Turner with a strong background in setting and operating CNC lathes, mill-turn machining and first-off inspection, ideally with experience working on twin-spindle or multi-axis machinery.

What you'll be doing

  • Setting and operating Mazak and Fanuc CNC lathes
  • Manufacturing precision-engineered components to tight tolerances
  • Machining aluminium, stainless steel and brass
  • Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
  • Setting tooling and making programme and tooling offset adjustments
  • Working with mill-turn, twin-spindle and multi-axis turning centres
  • Carrying out first-off inspections and in-process quality checks
  • Managing tooling selection and tool life
  • Ensuring components are manufactured right first time

What we're looking for

  • Previous experience as a CNC Turner / CNC Lathe Setter Operator
  • Strong CNC setting and operating experience
  • Experience with Mazak and/or Fanuc controls
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Experience machining aluminium, stainless steel and/or brass
  • Good understanding of tooling selection, offsets and tool life management

Experience with Mazatrol programming, twin-spindle/twin-turret machinery, NPI or CNC programme editing would be highly advantageous.
