Location: Woking (commutable from Guildford, Farnborough, Aldershot, Camberley, Bracknell and surrounding areas)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30am – 4:00pm (flexibility available)
Syntech Recruitment are supporting a well-established precision engineering and technology manufacturer who are looking to strengthen their CNC Turning team with an experienced CNC Machinist. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys being hands-on while also taking ownership of quality, processes and supporting less experienced machinists.

CNC Turner Duties
- Programming, setting and operating CNC turning and mill-turn machines
- Producing precision-machined components to tight tolerances
- Proving out programs and troubleshooting machining issues
- Supporting new product introduction (NPI) activities
- Developing and improving machining processes
- Working with Mazak, Siemens and Fanuc controls
- Supporting daily production targets for quality, delivery and efficiency
- Assisting with workload planning and job prioritisation
- Mentoring and supporting junior machinists
- Machining materials including aluminium, stainless steel, brass and specialist alloys
What We're Looking For
- Strong CNC turning experience in a precision environment
- Ability to program, set and operate CNC lathes independently
- Experience with Mazak, Siemens or Fanuc controls
- ISO programming experience
- Experience on twin-spindle and/or Y-axis mill-turn machines would be highly advantageous
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Previous experience as a Senior CNC Machinist, Lead Machinist or CNC Team Leader would be beneficial but not essential
