Syntech Recruitment are working with a world-renowned manufacturer to find an experienced CAD/CAM Programmer with strong SolidCAM expertise. This role sits at the heart of a precision machine shop — creating, optimising, and proving CNC programs for high-precision, medical-grade components across 3, 4, and 5-axis machines.

If you know SolidCAM inside out and want to work to the tightest tolerances in the industry, this is a role with real ownership. Relocation package available. Sponsorship is not available for this position.

What you'll do

  • Create and optimise toolpaths using SolidCAM
  • Program, simulate, and prove out CNC programs for 3, 4, and 5-axis machines
  • Support CNC operators with production-ready programs
  • Manufacture one-off and small-batch components to tight, medical-grade tolerances
  • Drive the ongoing development and optimisation of SolidCAM processes
  • Work closely with machinists, engineers, and quality teams to improve output
  • Maintain high standards of H&S and cleanroom compliance

What you'll need

  • Proven SolidCAM experience in a production environment (non-negotiable)
  • Strong 5-axis CNC programming background
  • Able to program and prove out across 3, 4, and 5-axis machines
  • Solid grasp of machining processes, tooling, and cutting strategies
  • Hands-on, detail-focused, quality-driven
