Security Officer in Uxbridge

Syntech Recruitment are supporting a world-renowned aerospace and defence manufacturer in their search for Security Officers to join their professional onsite security team. There are currently permanent positions available on he following shifts: Day Security Officer – 6:00am–6:00pm Night Security Officer – 6:00pm–6:00am Both positions operate on a 4 on / 4 off shift pattern, giving you significantly more time away from work than a traditional Monday-to-Friday role. Combined with 28 days' annual leave, this is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Security Officer looking for a strong work-life balance alongside the stability of a permanent position. IMPORTANT: Applicants MUST hold BOTH a valid SIA Door Supervisor Licence AND a valid SIA CCTV Licence. Experience within a corporate environment is highly preferred. Applications without both licences cannot be considered. What's in it for you? £33,000 starting salary Permanent days OR permanent nights – no rotating between the two Excellent 4 on / 4 off shift pattern 12-hour shifts – 6:00am–6:00pm or 6:00pm–6:00am 28 days' annual leave Excellent amount of time off throughout the year 9% non-contributory employer pension Healthcare plan Life assurance Retail discount platform Cycle to Work scheme Workplace nursery benefit Ongoing training and career development Stable, permanent position with a leading engineering manufacturer What you'll be doing Controlling pedestrian and vehicle access to the site Checking identification and issuing visitor passes Escorting visitors where required Carrying out regular foot and vehicle patrols across the site and perimeter Monitoring CCTV, alarms and other security systems Responding to security incidents, emergencies and alarm activations Conducting vehicle searches in accordance with site procedures Producing accurate incident reports and daily security logs Managing onsite traffic movement and parking Acting as a professional first point of contact for employees, contractors and visitors Maintaining high standards of vigilance, professionalism and customer service What we're looking for Valid SIA Door Supervisor Licence – ESSENTIAL Valid SIA CCTV Licence – ESSENTIAL Applicants must hold both licences to be considered Previous experience as a Security Officer or within a similar security environment Full clean UK driving licence Experience using CCTV and security monitoring systems Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office Excellent written and verbal communication skills Calm and professional when responding to incidents Able to work the permanent 4 on / 4 off day or night shift pattern Willingness to undergo the required security clearance Why consider a 4 on / 4 off pattern? This shift pattern offers a fantastic amount of time away from work. Rather than working five days every week, you'll work four shifts followed by four full days off, giving you regular extended breaks throughout the year. Add 28 days' annual leave into the mix and you'll have considerably more flexibility to plan longer periods away from work without using large amounts of holiday.
