Syntech Recruitment is working in partnership with a long-established, quality-focused design and manufacturing company serving the construction sector. Known for their commitment to traditional engineering values, they are currently undergoing a significant period of growth and modernisation, marked by the introduction of several new suppliers to their UK and international supply chain.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Quality Assurance & Supplier Oversight
- Conducting site visits and inspections to assess and sign off new suppliers
- Supporting the Quality Manager in the day-to-day management of supplier and product quality
- Logging, managing, and resolving Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), ensuring effective corrective actions
- Leading root cause analysis and corrective action processes
- Managing the communication of technical files, drawings, and specifications
- Monitoring and supporting rework on-site when supplier issues arise
- Planning and executing internal and external supplier audits across the UK and Ireland
- Producing clear, concise reports following supplier assessments and follow-up actions
- Supporting wider business compliance efforts in line with ISO standards
Candidate Requirements
- A strong track record in a quality-focused role within a manufacturing, engineering, or construction environment
- Solid understanding of mechanical engineering principles and assembly techniques
- Experience working within ISO 9001 environments; knowledge of BS EN 1090, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 is advantageous
- Internal Auditor qualification for ISO 9001 (Lead Auditor certification preferred)
- A recognised engineering qualification (HNC, HND, or degree-level preferred)
- Valid CSCS card (SMSTS or SSSTS is desirable)
- Full UK driving licence (essential, due to regular supplier travel)
