Syntech Recruitment are partnering with a global leading manufacturing business in Send, Surrey to recruit a motivated Trainee Electro/Mechanical Assembler to join their engineering team. The role offers involvement in building high-quality mechanical and electro-mechanical assemblies within a modern, state-of-the-art facility. Working within a supportive, cross-trained team, the successful candidate will play a key role in meeting factory production targets while gaining valuable technical skills and professional development.
Trainee Electro/Mechanical Assembler Responsibilities
- Assemble mechanical and electro-mechanical assemblies from technical drawings and procedures.
- Safely and correctly utilize hand tools, power tools, torque tools, and dedicated assembly fixtures.
- Test and inspect completed assemblies using standard procedures, jigs, and fixtures.
- Perform general assembly work efficiently to meet monthly factory production targets.
- Work within a dust-free, cleanroom environment as required by specific production workflows.
- Follow strict company quality standards, ISO procedures, and ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) controls.
- Ensure all completed work meets precise engineering specifications and customer requirements.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in line with 5S principles and health & safety requirements.
- Support the training of new team members and assist with wider operational activities when required.
Trainee Electro/Mechanical Assembler Requirements
- Strong organizational skills and a high attention to detail.
- A methodical approach to work with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- An enthusiastic, proactive attitude with a strong eagerness to learn and execute new skills.
- Must live within a manageable daily commute to the global headquarters in Send, Surrey.
- No previous technical experience is required, as full training on assembly, testing, ESD control, and quality procedures is provided.
Desirable Skills
- Any basic hands-on experience using hand tools or power tools (mechanical, technical, or DIY hobbies).
- Familiarity with or an interest in working within a high-quality production, manufacturing, or engineering environment.
- A collaborative mindset to work effectively within an experienced, cross-trained technical assembly team.
