We have an exciting opportunity for a skilled and proactive individual to join our client\βs team based in near Woking. This role involves close collaboration with Design, Assembly, and Production Control departments to support and enhance production processes and assist in the introduction of new products. About the Role: As a Production Engineer, you will be instrumental in supporting the Production Engineering Department to improve processes, solve production issues, and work on New Product Introduction (NPI) projects. Your focus will be on ensuring high-quality, cost-efficient, and timely production. Production Engineer Responsibilities:
- Support Production: Address and resolve production issues promptly and effectively, implementing long-term process improvements.
- New Product Introduction (NPI): Prepare the manufacturing facility for new products, ensuring project timelines, quality, and cost-efficiency.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement techniques to enhance quality, productivity, and safety within manufacturing using Lean principles.
- Documentation: Create and maintain detailed production engineering procedures and documentation.
- Training: Train personnel on new production methods, equipment, and operations.
- Design and Maintenance: Design, produce, and maintain assembly fixtures, jigs, and equipment, including the use of 3D printers.
Production Engineer Profile:
- A degree in a relevant Engineering discipline.
- A minimum of 3 yearsβ experience in a similar role.
- Mechanical or Optical Engineering background with experience in supporting manufacturing processes is desirable.
- Knowledge of additive manufacturing, DFM, DFA, and DFT is beneficial.
- Proficiency in CAD software for designing jigs and fixtures.
