Working closely with customers in the rubber and plastics industries, you’ll become the technical expert they rely on, helping develop tooling solutions from concept through to manufacture while growing an established customer base across Southern England.

  • Full technical sales training and mentoring where required
  • Long-term career progression within a growing engineering business
  • Autonomy to manage your own territory

What you’ll be doing:

  • Managing an established portfolio of customers across Southern UK
  • Responding to technical RFQs for mould tooling and converting enquiries into orders
  • Working with customers at concept stage to develop practical tooling solutions
  • Producing accurate quotations and refining specifications as projects develop
  • Advising customers on tooling design, manufacturability and production considerations
  • Building relationships with tooling engineers, project engineers and technical buyers
  • Identifying and developing new business opportunities through networking, prospecting and industry events
  • Working closely with the engineering and production teams in Portsmouth to deliver customer projects

What we’re looking for:

We’re looking for someone with a strong technical background in tooling who enjoys working with customers and solving engineering problems. You’ll ideally have experience in one or more of the following:

Previous technical sales experience would be advantageous, but it isn’t essential. The business is happy to train someone with strong tooling knowledge who has the personality and ambition to develop into a successful Technical Sales Manager.

About you:

You’ll be someone who enjoys building relationships and isn’t afraid to get out in front of customers. You’ll be:

  • A confident communicator
  • Commercially aware
