Syntech Recruitment are delighted to be supporting a world-renowned precision engineering manufacturer supplying the motorsport and aerospace sectors. Due to continued growth and a strong order book, we are looking for experienced CNC Millers to join their machining team on either the Night Shift or Weekend Shift.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly respected engineering business, machining complex, high-precision components using state-of-the-art CNC equipment in a modern manufacturing environment.

The Role

As a CNC Miller, you'll be responsible for setting and operating 3, 4 and 5-axis CNC machining centres, editing programmes using Fanuc controls and producing precision-engineered components to extremely tight tolerances for the motorsport and aerospace sectors. You'll also carry out self-inspection using standard measuring equipment whilst maintaining the highest standards of quality and efficiency.

What we're looking for

  • Previous experience setting and operating CNC Milling machines
  • Experience editing programmes using Fanuc controls
  • Background within aerospace, motorsport or precision engineering
  • Experience machining to tight tolerances
  • Competent using verniers, micrometers and calipers for self-inspection
  • Experience with Edgecam, Siemens NX (Unigraphics) or similar CAM software
  • Vericut experience would be advantageous but is not essential
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Shift Patterns Available

  • Night Shift: Monday – Thursday, 7:00pm – 6:00am (1-hour unpaid break, 30% shift allowance)
  • Weekend Shift: Friday – Sunday, 6:00am – 6:30pm (30-minute unpaid break, 25% shift allowance)
