Salary: Up to €60,000 + overtime + 5% bonus

Location: Ringsend, Dublin

Hours: Monday to Thursday 07:30am – 4pm & Friday 07:30am – 3pm

Syntech are on the lookout for a Lead Maintenance Electrician to lead a team of electricians in a regulated and automated industrial processing environment.

Responsibilities:

  • To execute maintenance activities on electrical equipment including instrumentation, PLC’s, Variable Speed Drives ensuring safe, reliable plant.
  • Making sure maintenance tasks are completed in accordance with site policies and procedures.
  • Ensure effective completion and ongoing review of planned equipment maintenance routines on PEMAC maintenance management system.
  • Assign maintenance activities to team members on PEMAC maintenance management system.
  • Ensure all executed maintenance activities are recorded by the maintenance team on the PEMAC maintenance management system.
  • Communicate with maintenance planner on PMs, near misses to be closed, back log of jobs.
  • Maintain a good record of O&M manuals on the server and update where required.
  • Minimize downtime on equipment, through fast response, effective root cause analysis and good problem solving techniques.
  • Train maintenance electricians on electrical equipment and instrumentation, improve team’s systematic fault finding skills.
  • Effective analysis and elimination of recurring equipment problems.
  • Monitor, record the use and the ordering of spare parts.
  • Provide out of hours support to plant operations during plant start-up, running and shutdown activities.

Requirements:

  • Time served Electrician with QQI Level 6 Advanced Certificate Craft - Electrical or equivalent.
  • Working knowledge of switchgear, MCC controls, relay logic and various AC and DC voltage systems.
  • High-level diagnostic and problem-solving skills in an industrial environment.
  • Some PLC and SCADA knowledge would be hugely beneficial.
