Syntech Recruitment are partnering with an established, award-winning Irish manufacturer of equipment for the agricultural and construction markets to recruit an experienced Robot Welding Technician for their County Meath facility. This is a well-regarded, Engineers Ireland CPD-accredited business with a strong reputation for investing in their people and processes. The role is technically varied, combining robotic welding operation with hands-on MIG welding capability, within a structured lean manufacturing environment.

Robot Welding Technician Responsibilities

  • Program, set up and operate robotic welding machines to weld various components
  • Monitor the robotic welding process and make adjustments to maintain weld quality
  • Manually weld and inspect weld quality as required
  • Load and unload parts onto welding fixtures, ensuring correct part orientation
  • Inspect completed welds for defects — checking alignment, penetration and fusion — and perform rework where necessary

Robot Welding Technician Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years MIG welding experience
  • Experience operating robots, CNC machines or similar automated equipment demonstrating aptitude for robotic welding
  • Ability to read and interpret welding drawings, SOPs and technical documentation
  • Competent in weld inspection — alignment, penetration, fusion and compliance with standards
  • Familiar with ISO Quality, Safety and Environmental standards
