This is a well-regarded, Engineers Ireland CPD-accredited business with a strong reputation for investing in their people and processes. The role is technically varied, combining robotic welding operation with hands-on MIG welding capability, within a structured lean manufacturing environment.
Robot Welding Technician Responsibilities
- Program, set up and operate robotic welding machines to weld various components
- Monitor the robotic welding process and make adjustments to maintain weld quality
- Manually weld and inspect weld quality as required
- Load and unload parts onto welding fixtures, ensuring correct part orientation
- Inspect completed welds for defects — checking alignment, penetration and fusion — and perform rework where necessary
Robot Welding Technician Requirements
- Minimum 3 years MIG welding experience
- Experience operating robots, CNC machines or similar automated equipment demonstrating aptitude for robotic welding
- Ability to read and interpret welding drawings, SOPs and technical documentation
- Competent in weld inspection — alignment, penetration, fusion and compliance with standards
- Familiar with ISO Quality, Safety and Environmental standards
