Hours: Standard 40 hours per week (flexible start finish times)

We are currently looking for skilled Intrinsic Safety Engineers with 2+ years of experience to join a cutting-edge engineering firm known for innovation and quality. This is a fully remote role, offering the freedom to work from anywhere in the UK while being part of a supportive and expert-led team.

Intrinsic Safety Engineers responsibilities:

  • Lead intrinsic safety evaluations and assessments across a range of complex systems and components
  • Ensure compliance with relevant standards such as IECEx, ATEX, and ISO 80079
  • Collaborate with design engineers to integrate intrinsic safety requirements into product development
  • Generate and review technical documentation including safety files, FMEAs, and certification reports
  • Liaise with certification bodies to manage the approval process
  • Support customers with technical safety queries and provide expert consultancy

Intrinsic Safety Engineers Experience:

  • Strong background in intrinsic safety, ideally within oil & gas, petrochemical, or industrial sectors
  • Solid understanding of relevant safety standards (ATEX, IECEx, etc.)
  • Proven experience preparing technical documentation for product certification
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or related discipline
