Syntech Recruitment are working with a leading precision engineering and manufacturing business to recruit a Machine Shop Estimator.

Machine Shop Estimator Responsibilities:

  • Review customer enquiries, drawings and technical specifications
  • Prepare accurate manufacturing cost estimates and quotations
  • Develop optimum manufacturing methods and production strategies
  • Produce clear and professional customer quotations
  • Manage projects from enquiry stage through to contract completion
  • Conduct contract reviews ensuring all technical and commercial requirements are captured
  • Liaise with customers regarding technical and commercial queries
  • Source raw materials and subcontract services where required
  • Support supplier negotiations and cost reduction activities

Machine Shop Estimator Requirements:

  • Apprenticeship-trained engineer or equivalent engineering qualification
  • Strong mechanical engineering background
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation
  • Experience within precision engineering or manufacturing environments
