A well-established precision engineering company based in Aldershot is seeking a skilled Manual Machinist / Toolroom Engineer with strong grinding experience. This is a superb opportunity to join a long-standing, stable business producing complex, low-volume components for high-spec industries including aerospace, defence and motorsport.
What’s on Offer:
- Monday to Friday day shift

- 1.3x overtime pay (Monday–Friday)
- 1.5x overtime pay (Saturday–Sunday)

Manual Machinist Responsibilities:
- Operate manual grinding machinery including: Surface grinders, Cylindrical grinders, Bore/internal grinders
- Produce one-off and small batch precision components to tight tolerances
- Work from engineering drawings and job cards
- Use measuring tools (micrometers, gauges etc.) to inspect and ensure accuracy
- Operate additional manual machines such as lathes and mills as required
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to meet customer specs and deadlines
Manual Machinist Requirements:
- Proven experience in manual machining and precision grinding
- Strong skills in surface, cylindrical and internal grinding
- Comfortable working to fine tolerances from technical drawings
- Self-sufficient, accurate and methodical approach to work
- Apprentice-trained or qualified by experience in an engineering environment
