Hours: Monday - Thursday: 06:00 - 14:15 & Friday: 06:00 - 14:00
As an Electronics Assembly Inspector, you will be responsible for the inspection and testing of high-reliability PCB assemblies (PCBA) for some of the UK’s most advanced sectors – including Aerospace, Medical, Automotive, and Defence. You will use a mix of automated testing equipment and visual inspection techniques to ensure products meet stringent quality standards.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct inspections under microscope and via camera systems
- Calibrate and maintain inspection and testing equipment
- Investigate and report on visual defects and customer returns
- Communicate effectively with SMT and soldering teams on any quality concerns
- Maintain documentation and adhere to internal quality procedures and standards
Requirements:
- Previous experience in inspection roles within manufacturing or electronics
- Skilled in visual inspection, with or without microscopes
- GCSE-level education or equivalent
- Competent with computer-based reporting and inspection systems
- A strong team player with a meticulous eye for detail
Desirable skills:
- AOI (Automatic Optical Inspection)
- FPT (Flying Probe Test)
- QUINS (Quality Inspection Systems)
- X-Ray and Visual Inspection Tools
